This week: Glass Class and Copy Cat Club
We have two very exciting classes coming up this week! First, our glass fusing class will be tomorrow, April 9, at 6 pm. New to glass? No problem! We will show you how to do it! We will be making a hanging pocket vase. This is a cool project because not only will you learn how to make hangers, you will learn how to layer fiber paper inside two pieces of glass to make your pocket! Perfect for flowers, or even use as a reed diffuser! $10 Class fee reserves your spot, just pay for your glass tomorrow night.
Everyone has fun at Glass Class! Here are JJ and Maureen with their fired creations! |
Later, on Thursday, we will have our FIRST EVER clay class for adults!! We are making a clay wreath using texture stamps and layering. Colors and details can be changed to your taste! How cute would this be with a Razorback and in red and white?!?! Or with a cute owl or initial? This week you will actually make your wreath, and in a couple weeks they will be fired and ready to paint! DON'T MISS THIS CLAY CLASS! April 11 at 6pm. To reserve your spot, call ahead with your class fee ($10), and your wreath is $45 plus tax that night.

G'day to ya!
When is the last time you took a minute to be silly? I have decided that as a new mother, I am silly everyday. I make up songs only a 4 month old would appreciate. Humor can be a great stress reliever, as can being with great friends. Lila (my 4 month old daughter) and I went up to the Pig today to help celebrate Kristen's birthday with Steve, Jessica, Kim, and her mother, Becky. We had cupcakes from Cupcakes on Kavanaugh and oh how yummy they were. I haven't had once since last summer, and they were delish. (Kristen began managing the studio for me back in August.)
What great new things we have to do at the Pig! I saw new molds for glass fusing, new bisque mustaches, and we even have spring break kids' camps planned! So excited for spring and all the wonderful holidays and festivities to come.
Of course, while we were there we had to do clay prints for Lila. She wasn't sure she liked it at first, but soon realized that her mom was a pottery nut and would have to deal...:)
So excited for those. Stay tuned for more happenings and events!
Happy Birthday Kristen!
